Practice
The Practice section is the central hub of the Gripp app, bringing together the Dojo challenge library, structured training routines, and your daily challenges. It organizes your training into focused tabs, including a dedicated favorites section, so you can quickly access the exact workout you need for your session.
Most training apps bury their workouts in deep menus. Gripp puts your training front and center in the Practice section. This is where you find everything outside of the structured programs. Whether you want to tackle a fresh daily challenge, follow a guided routine, or test yourself, the Practice section organizes it all into a clean, tabbed interface designed for fast access.
Every challenge, routine, and session you start from the Practice section tracks your personal bests and contributes to your overall progression.

Everything You Need in One Place
The Practice section is divided into four main areas, each serving a different training purpose:
Daily Challenges
The Daily Challenges section features a fresh grip challenge every 24 hours. This adds some vatiery and encourages daily consistency. Completing your daily challenge is the fastest way to build a training habit and earn quick XP. Learn more about Daily Challenges.
The Challenge Library
This is an always-available library of grip strength challenges. You can browse by movement type and difficulty to find the perfect test for your current level. From max-hang endurance tests to complex pyramid protocols, the challenge library has it all.
Training Routines
The Routines section offers multi-exercise, guided workout sessions. These are professionally structured routines that combine different grip movements into a single session, walking you through every set and rest period from start to finish. Learn more about Training Routines.
Favorites
The Favorites section is your personalized training shortcut. Any challenge or any training routine can be favorited for instant access. If you have a specific warmup or a favorite pyramid session you run every week, the Favorites tab keeps it one tap away.
Most Recents
Given the variety of challenges Gripp has to offer, the Most Recents tab gives you access to the things you've done recently. This stops you having to find and scroll through finding something quick.

Smart Filtering and Discovery
With dozens of challenges and routines available, finding the right one is easy. The Practice section includes powerful filtering options:
- Filter by Movement - Narrow down the Challenges or Routines to only those featuring specific movements like Dead Hangs, Pinch Grips, or Gripper work.
- Filter by Difficulty - Quickly find Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced content that matches your current strength level.
- Search - Use the search bar to find specific challenges or routines by name.
Personal Best Tracking and Statistics
Every session you start from the Practice section is fully integrated into Gripp's data engine.
- Real-time PB Updates - Hit a new record in a challenge or during a routine, and your personal bests update across the entire app immediately.
- Attempt History - See how many times you've attempted a specific challenge and your completion rate over time.
- XP Rewards - Every first-time completion in the Practice section earns you XP toward your overall level.
How It Works
- Open the Practice Tab - Navigate to the Practice section from the main app navigation.
- Choose Your Training Mode - Swipe between Daily, Challenge, and Routines to find the type of session you want.
- Filter and Select - Use the movement and difficulty filters to narrow your choices, then tap a card to see the details.
- Start Training - Follow the guided Training Timer through your session. Your results are saved automatically the moment you finish.

Training sessions are focussed on specific programes that you unlock over time. The practice section allows you to practice different movements, adds some variety, gain XP.
How do I add a challenge to my Favorites?
Tap into any challenge or Training Routine to view its details. You will see a heart icon or "Favorite" button—tap it, and that item will now appear in your Favorites tab for quick access.
Do Practice sessions count toward my progress?
While Practice sessions are separate from the structured programs, they contribute to your overall XP, Level, and Personal Bests. Many levels may even suggest or require you to complete specific Practice challenges as prerequisites.
